Got onto the island later than I wanted last night. Grabbed some CFA before they closed. Some local stuff I would want was already closed but such is winter in Galveston.
There was a large framed ad/poster of great restaurants and hospitality spots in Galveston over on one wall. I asked the kid working why CFA wasn't in the poster.
He said those were all Landry's ventures, and so was this CFA location, they wouldn't get that kind of top billing.
"Wait. This is a Landry's venture? Where are the slot machines?"
Kid: "Gambling is illegal in Texas so no slots"
"What if the slots paid in CFA cards instead of cash?"
Kid: "it wouldn't help you. We don't take CFA cards"
"Can I at least order thru the app?
Kid: "Nope. We don't take orders from the app either"
I don't think I can refer to that location as Jesus Chicken if they made a deal with Tillman.
