Cross-posting this because I'm not sure how much traffic the Aggieland board gets. Dealership just informed me that my car will be in the shop until Monday. The loaner they gave me is an EV with a 270 mile range. I'm coming to the game from Fort Worth, so will definitely need to charge it before heading home. Any suggestions for fast chargers close to Kyle Field? I tried using the evgo app and nothing is showing up.

There are also chargers at the Brookshire Brothers down the street from the Bush Library. Last year, a friend of mine brought her Tesla up from Houston and it needed a charge before she went back. We took it to the Bush Library and it worked; but it took a long time.

If coming from Fort Worth stop at Abbott and hit their 250kwh for about 10 to 15 minutes so you don't have to deal with the one in CS. That would get you enough to get home with just another 10 to 15 minute stop there on the way back.

Guy at the dealership said they're using them as loaners to boost sales. I don't think that's a great strategy considering how inconvenient it's been, but maybe it's just me. It's a beautiful car and a lot of fun to drive, but the limited range just seems like it would be a pain in the ass.

Wow. Giving out eco-raping autos as loaners seems like a brilliant strategy to boost sales of a garbage vehicle.

I believe I would have told Mr. Idiot Service Dept Loaner Guy to bring me an ICE car or GTFO.

Automakers are starting to admit defeat in EVs near term. They are pretty desperate to sell them. Best they can do it loan them out like this in hopes someone will buy.
