  • Mr Awesome is still in school but everything is just filler days from here on out.
  • Pretty sure today is some kind of sportsball day for them
  • Nothing is more fun than scheduling a bunch of work that I'm flying across the country to, then one of the people I'm working with wants to move half of it around to later in the day after everything has been scheduled
  • Yup, I could definitely use another couple hours of sleep today

Have fun people!

You aren't going to become one of those Texan-hating Coloradans, now, are you???

I thought they switched to hating Californians.

If someone from CA moves to Texas, then Colorado do the locals hate them twice as much?

I've had my windows open for nearly two weeks, but the A/C will get turned on this afternoon. Enjoying my last morning listening to the birds.

And many, many meetings starting at 9:30. I'd rather listen to those birds.

Maybe? Thankfully, I'm not sure my opinion matters much in the grand scheme of things.

Down 26 pounds from my peak weight.
24 to go to hit my initial goal.
I feel so much better. I just put on a button up shirt that I hadn't been able to wear in over five years.

Congratulations on your success! I hope the next 24 are easy and swift.

If you haven't taken I 70 west through the western part of the state and into Utah, please do so. The scenery there is unbelievably beautiful, especially near Green River and Moab.

- 3 doctor appts this week: dentist, GP, and endo. Yay.
- Foster dog is doing dog stuff. She is very pretty, very sweet, and very in my face 24/7 and I can't get a moment to myself. Poor thing.
- I desperately need some space.

Busy morning

Busy afternoon ahead

A few things to knock out before end of month

Baking some type of Swiss tuna melt things tonight that a friend recommended. I'm using provolone since it is superior to Swiss. Pick a side already

One of my employees believes that the one CT scan he got has the radiation equivalent of 1,000 x-rays. I don't think that is correct. Maybe KidDoc will chime in

Started watching the Nuno Bettencourt interview on Rick Beato's YouTube channel while I ate my El Presidente from Fuego. It's a two-hour interview so I didn't get very far. Going to have to watch this one in sections

Nuno has a solo on "Rise" that is insane. Just nuts how good that guy can play

Have a day!

The Care Center has chocolate pudding on Wednesday nights and (ambulatory) residents decorate their walkers with flowers from the gardens in June! There's a contest for the best decorated walker or cane with first prize being a package of Depends. Tuesday nights we have a singalong of early 1960s hits. Living the life here in SLC!

I was diagnosed with NASH (advanced fatty liver) and need to get rid of a lot of body fat to try to reverse some of the ongoing damage.

I'm doing zero sugar (as best I can manage it) diet with intermittent fasting. So no breads/grains, no added sugars, synthetic sweeteners, etc. I only eat 1-2 meals a day within a 4-6 hour window and only eat about 12-1500 calories with a little more fat than protein. The combination is just making the fat melt off. Despite not eating much I never feel hungry. I drink lemon water, tea, and black coffee during fasting hours.

It was hard for a couple days as my brain went through withdrawal but after the carb addiction went away I felt so much better. In just a month my belts are now down by two notches. I also feel like I have more energy and focus during the day.

That's awesome and congratulations! Keep up the hard work.

I am healthy but my job makes me sit at my desk for long hours so I have some flab around the tummy that I want to get rid of. I want to reduce my pant size by 3 inches. Not been successful but I think I need to cut out sugar (which I love) and do at leat 5K walk/jog every day.

This. Compare food labels of the same processed foods in other countries, too. There's something going on there.
While it is our individual responsibility to pay attention and control what we put into our bodies, there's something to be said about how we are set up to struggle or fail a lot of the time.

I tried a new recipe for dinner that was filling and healthy but not many calories

I'm at around 1800 calories for the day because I went a little over at lunch.

Still got a lot of steps to get in!

My wife loves to do all that. And she's been buying organic from Whole Foods for a long time. Maybe it has made a difference, we rarely fall sick and in our neighborhood we are among the very few who did not get COVID. If we did, it just passed through like a common cold.
maroon barchetta
How long do you want to ignore this user?
That had zero to do with you not getting COVID.
