A coworker I was friends with, once told me " today would have been parole day".

20 years earlier to the day, he came home to literally an empty house and empty bank accounts.

He was carpooling and she took both cars. Her boyfriend and his now Ex wife planned it for months.

As soon as he left for work ( construction 12 hour days) the boyfriend pulled in with a U-Haul.

For a few weeks he had to borrow money and ask for rides.

I don't love my house. I don't love my cars. I don't love my bank accounts. If she had taken all of that and left my boys, it would have been infinity better than what she did.

Had a coworker that held several jobs so his wife could stay home with the kids. He got the flu one time, pretty much knocked out due to it. He stayed in the upstair part of his apartment so as not to get anyone else sick. His trash wife moved everything out of the apartment, took the kids and left with another dude. My coworker didn't find out until he felt well enough to come down stairs to an empty apartment.

Dead even and 10-15 to 1 is incredibly different. Of course it's roughly even, doing bad things is not gender dependent. And depending how far back in time you want to go, men historically have perpetrated way worse things on women than the reverse.

She took his clothes. His toothbrush. Everything. Their dwelling was a blank slate when he got home.

I would venture that in custody disputes the margin is 10 to 1. Go to any county court in Texas and see how many cases go the way of the mom and not the dad.

Unless mom shows up to court strung out with a needle hanging in her arm, the dad is absolutely getting ****ed over. Those are the facts.

I'm female. I watched my husband's two best friends get divorced by terrible women. They took the children. Both has another guy lined up before the filed for divorce.

Both men lost custody of their kids. They were good fathers who loved their kids.

I have known women to file for divorce for the dumbest reasons. They weren't "happy". These were "Christian" women who had husbands who weren't cheating, were not abusive, etc. They were boring. One woman uttered the phrase that "God wouldn't want me to be unhappy." She had children. She was willing to take them away from their father.

Life is what you make of it. Marriage is USUALLY what you put into it. I have seen surveys that five years after a divorce most people would not have gotten the divorce if they had it to do over again.

Women need to put down the romance novels and men need to turn off the porn. Both lead to unrealistic expectations.
