So we generally have gotten pasture raised eggs instead of the standard store brand eggs. But I was shopping on Friday AM and store eggs were $3.19 vs. $7 for the fancy eggs. So I bought the store brand.
Man, was I in for it when the Mrs. came home. I am NOT to every buy those again because of how mistreated the hens are.
OK, OK - I'll buy the pricey eggs to keep her happy. But how different are they? Is it possible they're the same exact eggs, raised in the same exact way, but just put in fancier packaging and doubled in price? Much like "organic", there is no standard of what "pasture raised" means.
