This is Professor Micah Green from Texas A&M. Here's the info for the 2023 Veritas Forum, coming up on Feb 26 on campus:
The Veritas Forum is an opportunity for the Aggie community to come together each year and explore life's hardest questions, connecting truth to our hardest questions and deepest beliefs.
Join us on Sunday, February 26th at 7pm in Rudder Theatre for: "Is Anything Worth Dying For? Inside the Minds of Martyrs."
Dr. Sean McDowell of Biola University and Dr. Matthew Vess of Texas A&M will dialogue on the topic of martyrdom, exploring the motivations of those who have willingly laid down their lives for a cause, with special attention to the martyrdom of Jesus's disciples. Dr. McDowell's research has focused on what history can tell us about the fate of the apostles. For Dr. Vess, his research focuses on the psychological processes associated with people's efforts to manage existential concerns, including meaning and mortality.
Tickets are free. Please register at tx.ag/VERITAS23
