As my rehabilitation saga slowly continues, one of my big accounts sent me a combination get-well/thank you for your efforts gift. An order of Omaha Steaks. However, when UPS delivered them, the driver just had some random person in my building sign for them. This person then apparently kept them for his/her own enjoyment. Didn't leave them at my door or in the lobby, they were delivered and that was that. The nerve of some people!!

So call UPS and find out who signed for them.

With ups.com, you should be able to see the actual signature, as well as the printed name of the person who signed. If that doesn't work, call and complain about the driver. Sometimes they'll be forced to replace the lost items out of their paycheck.

Big D wins the prize!!! It was signed for by an AAA. Although I don't know all 55 other tenants, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's a fake.
There have been notices posted recently by the mgmt. company for the building advising of package theft.

Looks like UPS just bought you some steaks.

You need to have Omaha Steaks contact UPS and file a claim. This will take a couple of weeks. Was there a suite or floor number on the package? This will help in determining if UPS delivered to an incorrect person. If UPS cannot prove they deliered the package, they have to pay the claim to Omaha Steaks, who shouild re-send the package (ask them to deliver to your home or an alternatve address.) They will probably send the driver out to verify delivery.

My apartment # was on the package. The sender is taking care of the tracing. She'll get her money back but it's just a hassle to go through.

I've had to do quite a bit of it myself. The incompetence and stupidity never fails to amaze me.

Must not have a a PCA to go to...ours was the GREATEST. When I left, she sent me an UPS Racing golf shirt (do not dry if you ever get one... they shrink like a sumb***h.)

For the most part, I think it was customers. Most of our claims were non-receipt on driver release packages. I would bet that 90% of our people that claimed non-receipt just wanted extra stuff...
