I have not been back to college station in a couple of years. My nephew is starting his masters program here and wanted to take him out to a fun place tonight that had good food. Any suggestions would be appreciated. He has never been to CS before so I would like to kind of show him around.

Juanita's in Century Square (on University across from the Zachary Lot/ Polo Field area), is nice for atmosphere. It's a newer restaurant, might be a bit of a wait depending on timing with students back. But the atmosphere is nice. The green area in front is a nice place to hang out while you wait for a table, I think they have live music on Sunday nights. Parking on street is free on Sundays, or the garage isn't far away to park and walk. Porter's Steakhouse is in this area too, it's a nice steakhouse option.
There are other stores and shops to walk in visit in the vicinity, not sure if closing times on Sunday.

Napa Flats on Harvey, patio seating would be nice with the weather cooling a little.

Fuego is small but lively. I normally get it to go but people enjoy dining in. It will be packed.

Mad Taco on the south end of town.

Chain restaurant, but Mo's Irish Pub in Century Square has good food and atmosphere. Sometimes has live music. Can be a loud place to try and converse. Will have sports on tv's.

Maybe a burger at the Chicken? Or Dudley's?

Hullabaloo Diner is only open for breakfast and lunch on weekends or I would say to go there.

Gringo's?

I used to roll to Coco Loco after a 4 lokos. Coco Loco put two kids in the hospital and then lokos are now no longer caffeinated. Kids don't know how to party these days.

Koppe Bridge is always fun. BBQ Chopped Brisket sandwich is underrated there, if they still serve it

Double Dave's is fun but you'll feel like you're a lolfat afterwards

If you want really good food, The Republic is phenomenal. $100 meal for 2 there that would easily be $400 in SF or NY

Koppe isn't open Sunday evenings. On that note, Smitty Al's might be a good option, but a little jaunt from middle of town out hwy 30 across from Bird Pond Road.

Wish Double Dave's brought back the buffet, cheap but nice for the college scene.

Pretty sure I went to some Mexican household in Bryan and they were cooking up some badass breakfasts. I think people lived there but not sure. It was a long night. Best meal of my life.
