10 years ago my wife and I named our first born son after Robert Earl Keen. We went with the last name and named him Keen. We have never taken him to a Robert Earl Keen concert before. We live in Colorado so our options have been limited. Now that he is doing his final tour we really wanted to take him to a concert. We are on vacation in the FL panhandle and found out he is playing in Mobile on June 9. We have our tickets already and plan to take my son. I wanted to see if there was a way I could get a picture of my son Keen with Robert Earl Keen. When I was the president of the Denver A&M Club, we would do events with REK and he would always sit down and sign autographs. The venues were small back then, this was early 2000's.

Does anyone have a connection to his management that I could reach out to. If so, please PM me the information for me to connect with.

Thanks and Gig 'em.

My dad used to tell me that they had a class together during their freshman year. Is that a good enough connection for you?

A friend of mine used to work in Austin with David Alan Coe's daughter, Shelli.

They came to visit me one weekend. Introduced them to some acquaintances we saw out on the town.

Some months later a guy I know told me he heard that I was dating Robert Earl Keen's daughter that goes to A&M.

Best I could piece the story together, my introduction of Shelley and my friend to someone in town turned into a game of "telephone".

They remembered a three-name country singer and a connection to A&M. I don't know if REK has a daughter or if she was in school at that time. Late 90's.

Anywho, I'll put in a good word for you since REK is practically my father-in-law.

Personal manager: rekmgmt@robertearlkeen.com

Tamara Saviano does publicity & media for REK: TSaviano61@icloud.com

Wasserman Music is his booking agency, but probably not the best source for your request.

Just got done picking out a name for our forthcoming third kid. I couldn't really imagine naming my kid after a specific person, unless it was a special family member or the person you named them after had some other significant personal meaning to you. I know people do this all the time, but forcing the association on your kid seems weird to me.

Is your son keen to the idea he's named after him?
