Ha! Most of the folks in my department (top to bottom) look at me like I created fire just by being able to make a pivot table. Making an actual chart would blow their minds.
Why does Alberto need so much fruit compared to everyone else?

One of my greatest fears is that someone is going to tell me to make a pivot table! I'm an old, so I would just have to tell one of my underlings to do it ASAP!
There's a few in my department that like to play with Excel at home and on weekend's. They've really got to be fun at parties.

That's like a lot of director and above folks here. "Pivot table" means you pivot to someone on your team and ask if they can make a table.

I used to rock at Quatro Pro.
I've taken to creating my pivot tables during the screen share.
It generally takes about 8 seconds to make a pretty functional chart if you already know your metrics have your data and know what you want to show.

I have pulled out a computer to show off a fun model or simulation at more than one party….

Blow their minds by hitting CTRL SHIFT R CTRL SHIFT D ALT N V ENTER ENTER so the pivot table appears as if by magic.
Nothing like some 55 year old senior director adding another % of total row. Classic.

Always go with a scattergram. By default they just show a bunch of scattered data without requiring you to draw a conclusion.

What's even funnier is how easy Pivot tables/charts are for most datasets. Most don't have the need for the more complex options.
