Didn't Bucky Richardson own that place? Don't remember the name either. Food was decent.SWC Ag said:
There was a place out in Bryan that was a big converted garage or something. Had sand volleyball courts outside. Can't remember the name of that place but it was fun for a hot second.
a walmart? damn that is a shameChoppinDs40 said:
Hornbacks on east gate. My dad class of 76 spent a lot of time there. He said NG didn't really exist in the early 70s.
Time Square is now a church RIP. Awesome pool hall and the first place I could openly underage drink when I was a freshman.
Hall of Fame is now a Wal-Mart - biggest tragedy in college station history.
That'd be like tearing down Gruene Hall to build a 7-11. Just despicable.

Fresh off the turnip truck I went with some friends to the HoF. The "tight fitting jeans contest" was an eye opener for a dude in the mid 90's that had not seen anything more racy than a Showtime free preview weekend, and certainly nothing live and in person.ChoppinDs40 said:

The one and only night we decided to go see what the big deal was about the Texas Hall of Fame was the night it became the Texas Hall of Flames. That evening we saw "Breaking News!" on 1 Channel (which was what we called KBTX because if you didn't have cable, you got 1 channel) that a fire had broken out in the kitchen at the Texas Hall of Fame that afternoon. They had a live report from the parking lot and everything.
By the time it reopened we were, "Meh. Wasn't meant to be."
Dunno; never went. Something caught on fire and burned it, though.histag10 said:
