La Fonda on main. Better food and nicer place.

If he okay with a hole in the wall, the best for lunch in SA is Garcias on Fredericksburg Rd just east of IH10.

Soluna and Paloma Blanca both on Broadway are good. La Fogata is good. I've always enjoyed Jacala, it's been there forever.

Does anyone remember the name of the place I went to a long time ago on the near north side of town to meet some old journalist? It was a one story brick building, kind of dark and cozy inside. I think they had red vinyl/leather seating. Learned to appreciate a fried egg on top of my enchiladas there. I don't remember the name of the restaurant or the old man, and I'm not sure the restaurant is still there. Hope this helps.
