Non-committable f**u**c**k**s. Saw maybe two real answers. Before about a month ago. Mon-Thur maybe 3 a day, Fri-Sun maybe 8-10 a day. Now.. maybe 10 but only one day a weeklost 14lbs.

I'm one of those annoying as hell people with nice brain chemistry that actually prefers how I feel without outside substances than with. This even includes caffeine.

For years, I probably averaged 1-2 beers a month, but I've got something with my system that's getting worse where just one will ruin my sleep the next night, and I really really hate losing sleep. I haven't had a beer in probably 9 months.

Liquor and wine always made me feel instantly worse, so I think I've had more than one in a week probably twice in my life.

I remember reading someone's official threshold and thinking it seemed remarkably low. Probably written by the "medium well at a minimum" steak crowd.

I'm all for sobriety for all kinds of reasons, in addition to not being able to tolerate alcohol at all myself, but in semi-moderation, it really does seem to add a lot of enjoyment to people's lives without that much health consequence.

I drink 2-3 a night Monday through Thursday and maybe Friday, then a few more on the weekend. My doc says to keep it under 14 a week, so I'm cutting back a little.
