Today would be my dad's 70th birthday.

He's been gone since I was 11. I often wonder who I'd be were he still here, but I'm grateful for all he taught me about the outdoors during our 11 years together. Life is a funny thing... maybe I'm just drunk and reminiscing. I digress

I'm sorry for your loss, Tandy. I can't imagine

My dad lost his dad when he was around 25 (I think my grandpa was mid 50s, but I wasn't born yet)I try and spend as much time with him as I can because I'm thankful that he's still around

I lost my dad in January. We didn't see eye to eye on a lot of things but I still miss him and would love to spend just 5 more minutes with him.

Ouch, that's rough. My brother's birthday and the date that he died are always a kind of like that too. He'd be 38 this year.

My dad (as in the one who raised me) is 72 and his side is riddled with health problems. His father already had stroke and heart problems by the age he is and his mom was getting kind of nutty by then. Hopefully he's able to escape all that.
