My son and I are doing a mini ramp project. Its outdoor with treated panel covering. We're gonna put a coat of paint on as well. Does anyone have any insight on a paint color that does ok in full sun regarding glare.

Hard to go wrong with Maroon.

There are paint products for skate ramps. We used a clear urethane after putting all the stickers and spray paint on that was wanted. It works really well, not much glare, good at reducing rolling resistance, water proof. It is expensive. Also, bought some fence gate handles for the sides so its easier for he and his friends to move around.

Flat colors? Nothing really bright or dark. Bright = glare, dark = hot as F in the summer sun.

IMO any paint you put on the wood will be scratched off pretty quickly from use and look awful before very long. I would think the best chance of anything lasting would be those 2-part marine paints that come with a chemical hardener.

Interlux 2-part Marine Paint

These things dry like an epoxy glue. Hardest paint you can buy. There's a reason they paint offshore handrails with 2-part stuff like this.

PS: you will also need to get the primer for best overall adhesion.
