Meat science folks: Identify this cut

So I have dietary restrictions where I only eat halal meat so my butcher choices are limited. (Halal is sort of like Kosher)

I called my butcher and asked for filet but they were out. He said "I have boneless beef for steaks though" and I took it.

Can anyone identify what cut this actually is? The label says "beef stew" but that is likely a generic label.

The animals have to be killed by a single cut that severs both the corroded and jugular then the blood is drained.

At most farms, the animals are stunned beforehand so they are unconscious when they are killed. I'm not an expert but that is my understanding.

What are you talking about? I literally was just wondering what part of the cow those steaks were. The only reason I even mentioned halal is to head off the "find a better butcher" comments.

I'm definitely not asking nor do I care about random people's opinions on what I choose to eat or not.

The cows are not stunned they need to be conscious. Many times they are hamstrung where you cut them so they can't stand up. Then they are bled out by slicing their throats.

Any animal with corroded arteries is probably not going to live long anyway.
