Heading up to Sin City in a couple of weeks. Gonna try my luck at some craps. Any of you degenerates have a favorite strategy? No pass, all place? Play the dont pass? Horn and field bets?

Sit there until you think it's safe to leave. Be sure to wipe thoroughly

Usually I have a pass and 2 come bets, with at least 3x odds. Sometimes i will place 6 & 8 and alternate between taking the $ and pressing.

You could play don't pass and don't come if you don't mind being that guy.

Dark side is best odds but not as fun cause you're rooting against the table.

If your bankroll is big enough, keep betting the pass and come with as high of odds as you can afford. Then just hope you get on a heater.

Play don't pass if you want to be hated by the entire table. We were there this weekend and I thought people were gonna kill this frat boy who was doing it and being very vocal about it

Saw a guy place 6, 8, and 5 then play the field on each roll.. If they hit a lot of numbers it can pay well but as most cases it is a gamble.

Play at the AARP Casino. Loosest craps in Vegas.

More serious answer: I usually go pass + odds and sometimes place a 5, 6, or 8 if I feel like it and will add/press if table gets hot.

If you want to Mensa bet the table, be sure to find a field bet where 2 pays 2x and 12 pays 3x. I think caesars still offers that.

You must Yell "big ass titties" with index fingers pointed out like nipples prior to every roll. Then again when the roll hits.

this is best, unless the shooter is hitting every number. Then your bankroll is spread all over the table.

Pass line, always with max free odds. I will also place the 6 and 8. Once a new roller has hit a point, I will add a come bet, with max free odds, of course. Two points made equals two come bets, and so on.

Always play the field in Vegas.

Throw in a hard 6 or 8 then wait for your come bet to land with high odds!

I play the pass line with 3x odds behind. Place the 6 and 8 with $18 each. Take it up one unit of $6 each time it hits on 6 or 8. Not overly aggressive but on a good run it can hit big.

Wait for the point to be set (button on) then start playing "don't come" bets.

Playing don't is much more fun in my opinion since you win multiple bets when the seven eventually hits.

I don't bet when the button is on because everyone thinks you are a dick for going don't in that situation. Once the point is set and you are playing "don't come" most players won't understand what you are doing.

The main disadvantage to playing this way is it isn't a very common way to play so you have to watch the dealers closely. I have had to remind dealers to pay me on a 3 several times.

That is exactly what I do when playing the dont's. It's great when you get 3 don't come bets out there, the shooter hits his.her point and then throws a winner 7 on the come out. The one time you can cheer with everyone else at the table!

Take your chips to the war table. It's 50/50 odds.

True the house always has an edge, but playing the odds bet is actually a bet with no house edge... You just have to play the pass line as well to play it

Strange game.
The only winning move is not to play.
How about a nice game of chess?

if you play long enough you always lose every dollar you put on the table.

The real strategy with craps isn't just to limit your losses, it's to limit your winnings too.

If you plunk $X down on the table, you stop when you're at $0 OR when you hit a certain limit (say, for example, $X*3).

So what I usually do is if I'm playing and the table gets hot, once a hot shooter craps out, I give it one more roll if I'm over my winning max and then color up.

If y'all like craps and/or poker, check out the Seven out podcast. The hosts are self-described degenerate gamblers and one of them is a semi-pro poker player. They have a ton of great craps stories and are hilarious, even if they are from NY.
