Went yesterday for brunch. Phenomenal.
I always get the green olives from the salad bar to pair in-between the beef. After round 1, visit the head to make more room.
Round 2, same thing and leave fat and happy.

I'm still not hungry. Churrascaria kicks ass

Bruh, that's where you should eat after your 70.3. I practically inhaled my supper in NO after mine. Wish I had thought of an all you can eat steakhouse.

Patience... discipline.. know what you want and wait! Filet, and lamb always come last.. plan accordingly.

- Avoid the salad bar - it's just cheap filler they get you to eat instead of meat
- Avoid the bread - see number 1
- Avoid chicken and sausage. Hit the tenderloin, ribeye, and lamb.

My strategy there is to not over eat. I wait for the quality beef and lamb cuts.

My strategy is to go to a normal steakhouse instead. That way I can tell the waiter exactly what I want, exactly how I want it, and they'll bring it to me in a reasonable amount of time, without me having to try to game a system.

I'd rather spend 75 bucks/person at a decent steak place

That's why I go for weekend brunch. The menu is better and it's $50/person.

Go for lunch pricing at like 2:00 and eat so much you can't possibly consider eating dinner later.

Then effing do it. Nobody is asking about your eating strategy at a steakhouse.

I skip the salad bar and eat whatever they bring to the table.

I always ask for the rarest pieces they have, and never take anything that didn't used to be a cow.

They sometimes bring around grilled pineapple... I'll get slices of that and dip it in whiskey, which is delicious.

That place is my second favorite spot for carnivorous meals. I've only ever been 3 times, but I would skip the salad bar, skip the lamb and minimize the chicken (which is actually good). The steaks and sausages were my favorite.

I don't understand the people that rip on Fogo de Chao. It is what it is. Everyone can go to a nice steak house. You can eat within 5 minutes of sitting down at Fogo de Chao and can try multiple cuts. The service is typically excellent and it's relatively informal. Is it the best meat you can get? No, but you knew that. It's a great experience and it's fairly consistent across their locations.

Agree mostly, however Boston location is *****

New York is the best one I've been to and I do like Houston's location.

Turned into a random traditions to take the interns for their last lunch, so I've had many lunches there over the years

I DO hit the salad bar, but stay away from lettuce, just hit some of the random good stuff.

All i eat meat wise now is the house special thing, that's folded like a C on the skewer, and the Parmesan pork.

One of my most pleasurable times, some ****** told us that Jaeger was to make you to be able to eat more meat. Don't know if it was placebo or it actually worked, but didn't seem as miserable at the end

Also I eat the mango or papaya pudding at the end, and it seems to help too.

I've been to the Fogo de Chao in Chicago, Beverly Hills and San Jose. And a couple of the Vegas knock offs. Chicago was probably the best.

But, $30K Millionaire and B1-83 have the best strategies, you've got to pace yourself and wait or even ask for the good cuts.

I travel all the time. Enjoy them but once or twice a year. I find they over salt the meat (generalization). They are fun for things like team dinners. I would not bring clients or folks I am marketing to one. I am starting my second full week in NYC. So many good choices here. When I am in Houston, Pappas Steakhouse downtown is my go to. Very good, consistent and reliable. I agree with the comment on paying for just a really good steak, or piece of fish. Eating much more fish lately.....

Picanha. Awesome

Cuppy - tons of Brazilians in Boston and New York. There are actually a lot of Brazilians in the Houston area too.
I was in the room here one day... watchin' the Mexican channel on TV. I don't know nothin' about Pele. I'm watchin' what this guy can do with a ball and his feet. Next thing I know, he jumps in the air and flips into a somersault and kicks the ball in - upside down and backwards... the dang (sc) goalie never knew what the hell hit him. Pele gets excited and he rips off his jersey and starts running around the stadium waving it around his head. Everybody's screaming in Spanish. I'

They got a pretty good salad bar over at Estancia with a much lower per person price. I know you're supposed to avoid the salad bar but there are really good items on it.
