Been drinking it since I was a kid. Much better with bourbon or rum. It's a Christmas tradition that I've carried on from my grandpa. Always have received compliments on it.

Penn Dutch is solid but I found some Bordon's Nog this year and I'll say its the best I've had, Add your own bourbon or bourbon/rum and it's the best I've had.

Going to try with some good rye this weekend. Gotta find me some of those Griswold moose glasses!

I made a half batch of Alton Brown's recipe two weeks ago. It's pretty damn good so far. He says to age it 4-6 months

I started a batch in September, so I'm not all the way there yet. But even over the couple of months that I've had it sitting in the fridge, it's mellowed out and gotten better. He says that you could even let it go for a year, so if we don't finish it all at Christmas I'm going to try and keep it around that long. Maybe start another batch in August next year, and compare the two.
