In any given account? I work in IT and have to work on users phones from time to time. Two people today had over 20,000 unread emails in their email app. Why even have email?

According to my phone app: 57,683

I used to have thousands the last time somebody asked this question in the GB. I took the time to unsubscribe from ass-tons of emails and setup auto filters to mark a lot of stuff read. I've only got 85 unread messages now.

Nothing stresses me out more than seeing that red number on my email app.

Thousands. No idea how, but I'm pretty sure I'm never going through them all to clean them out.

Main gmail account says 2,223 right now. So I'd guess somewhere in the 4k range.

Just 3,529. I did a huge clean up and deleted about 15,000 a few weeks ago.

It depends on what I have going on. I receive as many as 300 a day, with a large percentage of that being FYI emails. I generally float to 700-800 unread by the end of a week, and on Sunday I'll skim for anything worth reading and then mark the rest as read, starting the cycle again.

Zero in the accounts that I care about. I have a junk email that I use that I don't remember the password for. I'm sure there are thousands on that one.

This question is like "how much money do you make?"
Lots of different answers, kind of bland.

I start to get twitchy when the number goes above about 100 on any given account.

During a period when I was working and getting hundreds of emails a day I was at 6000 at some point and it stressed me out so much. Finally I couldn't take it anymore and for over a week I would spend up to 2 hours a day going through emails.

I don't think I could handle a job where I received more than 200 emails a day anymore, because you just don't have time to go through them and get all your other work done.
