My wife and I are going to Missoula for a concert later this week.

Does anyone have any recommendations on restaurants or activities? Hiking trails? Bars?

Lake como south of Missoula, drive down to Darby and that's where they film Yellowstone

I stayed a night in Missoula 5+ years back. Went to Big Sky Brewing and Kettlehouse Brewing Northside. Really enjoyed both places, and also really liked walking around their downtown and the University of Montana

Edit: there was also a brewpub that I ate at on my walk back to the hotel, but I can't find it on Google Maps. It may have closed since I was there

Eat brunch at stone of accord, it's a pub, great food

I've been there. I just don't remember what I did there. I'm worthless.

It's a pretty great venue. We are seeing Bon Iver and the Indigo Girls. Wife's music of choice but can't complain with a vacation to such a beautiful area!

I think the point was that I lived in MT for quite a while.

we actually never made it that far west, as it was like a 12 hour drive. Big Sky brewing is great though. Missoula is home to TONS of breweries. My general experience in MT is dont go to a steakhouse - you will be disappointed. I dont know how far in the area you want to travel, but I think Lolo Hot Springs arent too far. A lot of people say to head to the campus and walk around - its really nice. Also, there are some great bars & restaurants near campus (mini northgate?) that arent as touristy. If you want specific restaurants & recommendations, give me a price range, and i'll ask my old boss. He's always visiting Missoula for Grizz games.

Would love a recommendation on best restaurant for dinner Friday night. Price doesn't matter. Best food. Hole in the wall or fine dining!

Never been. But I've watched Yellowstone, so here's my advice:

• Stay away from the Indian reservations
• Never take anyone up on a "ride to the train station"
• If you meet a woman named Beth at a bar, be really, really polite to her.

Here is what I was given as far as recommendations:

Fine dining there is the mansion. The depot is good steak. Finn and porter. Couple of new ones I haven't been to. Hole in wall- a can't miss for burger is the mo club. The oxford is a landmark as well. El cazadore is really good Tex-Mex.

I think the mansion is now called the Keep, but same restaurant
