Going to make some hot wings tonight so I was thinking about trying some Franks hot sauce. Always have used Louisiana hot sauce. While at the local HEB I saw some old favorites of years gone by that I'm ashamed that I don't have at the house. I bought some Cholula, Tapatio, Valentina, Texas Pete (didn't realize I didn't buy the original but the sauted garlic) and some Franks original. Already have Louisiana at the house. Got home and couldn't help myself and tried all of them. For wings the Franks and the Louisiana tasted great. Franks being more mild but still good. For tacos Tapatio came in first followed close by Valentina,. Cholula sure did disappoint. Too much vinegar/sour. Texas Pete Garlic is great. I know the GB will let me know how to think. Which sauces did I leave out / should I try? Not just for wings but in general. No fruity/liberal/austin garbage por favor.
