Never recorded them, but my Mother loved messing with telemarketers.

One time, when she was in her 50s, she got a call from a guy selling burial plots.

She acted shocked and panicked and said, "Oh my God, did my Dr. call you? He said I was in remission. How much longer do I have? Do you know something I don't?"

I miss her.
People of integrity expect to be believed, when they're not, they let time prove them right.

there were some made back in the day by a guy who claimed to be a bill collector for Sanger Harris. They were very racist and very obscene, but also very funny. I think the guy actually got arrested over them.

I think this may be the tape I had, but I lost it 25 years ago. I believe he had half of the Sulfer Springs residents ready to fight. If I remember the story correctly, he sat in a motel room with a phone book and made the calls. You're right in that they were very racist and very obscene, but also very funny.
