Give me a juicy cut of brisket instead. Change my mind.

Your mom was over rated. Not juicy at all.

just because something isn't as good as brisket doesn't make it overrated. Also, if you think burnt ends are overrated, then you haven't had quality burnt ends. They should be like confit. Crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside.

Literally the word 'burnt' is in their name. How can charred meat be overrated?

Burnt ends are awesome. Ive had burnt ends be more consistently good than brisket.

Nah, he's at least eating meat and not trying to get smug vegan super powers.

Because most places charge the same for it as the good cuts.

brisket itself is a **** cut. It is why you smoke it for 12 hours to make it edible.

It is the BEST cut.

Burnt ends are a cut of juicy brisket, just with more surface area for bark because of where they sit. So how can we change your mind.

Don't change his mind. It leaves more for the rest of us

I've never had nor even heard of burnt ends. I guess I'll keep an eye out for them now.

Ever get the fatty tip of a brisket that has a lot of bark on it but it's moist and fill of flavor?

I just didn't know it was a thing.

And I don't care for the char.

Slide the point of a fully cooked smoked brisket off of the flat. Wrap the flat in foil and hold it in a cooler to keep warm. Dice the point muscle into 1.5" cubes and put them in a pan. Put the pan back in the smoker and bring temp up to 275. Smoke for an additional 60-75 minutes. Flat has now rested and burnt ends can be served immediately

As aggiebq03 pointed out, burn ends are already an inherently juicy cut of Brisket that now have a better bark to meat ratio. Burnt Ends are awesome.

Lol yeah like I'm going to take meat advice from a vegan

That was more of a how to than advice

Advice would be: Look in the mirror. If you are a lolfat, skip the burnt ends and try a quinoa, beet, and spinach salad with a citrus vinaigrette

Don't care, still vegan

Great on a brisket that was smoked well. Horrible on a brisket that was smoked poorly.

I make pork belly burnt ends all the time. The last thing they are is burnt.

If you think burnt ends are "charred" you have never had them before.

I've done pork belly burnt ends. They're meat candy.
