You're gonna need to explain what a tickler file is, but I think I like where it is going.

Being an olds, yes, I know the term and used the "tickler file" method when I was in corporate accounting.

There were no computers. No electronic schedules. If you were really high tech you had a Franklin Planner.

Basically a file containing client information that would remind me to check/call/keep updated on the situation involving that client.

A paper CRM, huh? Now that they're electronical sales people can't run off with them when they quit. Except they do all the time, I'm sure.

In our office, it was called the "suspense file". More dramatic than "tickler" and less sexual.
