Anyone have any kids whom have recently taken the SAT? I am looking for a short study course to prep for the test. It has been over 10 years since I have taken the test and I know the format has since changed.

EDIT: I am 30 years old and got last place in my fantasy football league.

You might try the Academic board.

Google some websites with practice exams. Most want money at some point. Can also buy books at Amazon. Check the library

Meh. Just wing it. Get them to bed early the night prior.

At least you'll have a good pick this FF season.

Whatever advice you give, I'd also add that taking the SAT the day after you play your senior homecoming game followed by a night of binge drinking should be frowned upon.

Why would a 30 year old take the SAT?

My 7th grader took it this past Fall. Scored a 920 on it without any "prep."

I wouldn't spend any money on any prep materials or prep courses if it was me.

If you just Google it you can find all kinds of free practice tests online. Or as previously stated, try the local public library for an SAT prep manual. They usually have a couple of different ones on the shelf.

The best advice I can give is to have them refresh their memory on the information they learned in Algebra II. That and as someone else said have them make sure and get a good night's sleep before taking the test.

It was the only way I could find your mom attractive.

Buy or download a couple practice tests - really just so your kid is prepared for the format and rigor of the test.

Using test prep to learn the material isn't exactly my favorite thing. You can't cram several years of curriculum in just a matter of weeks or months.

Find an Asian parent. They have all the pirated tests.

Would have been a better punishment to have him take the gmat, lsat or gre.

All he is giving up by taking the SAT is wasting a few hours on a Saturday.
If he was made to take a grad school related, he would actually have to put in the time to study and seriously take the test or have a ****ty score that will follow him for 5 years (if grad school is even something he is considering)
