What's the protocol when your neighbors son got a new truck and puts some loud speakers in it and blasts bass everyday after school for 3 hours while he is working on it...

Offer to help him work on the truck. Then when he's not looking, disconnect the amp ground wire in such a way that is not easy to find. I recommend replacing a small section of wire inside the sheathing with something else that's not conductive.

This will result in either no more subwoofers at all OR an amp that overheats after just a few minutes of use.

I remember when this fad started in the 1980s. It was mostly ethnic kids doing it then. I really wanted to set of a pair of large electromagnets (like Breaking Bad large) on each side of the street and energize them when these punks drove through.

30 years later the fad continues, and I still hate it.

I had subs in high school but even then I was courteous enough to turn that crap down in the neighborhood. Don't understand how some people just don't give a crap about anyone else.

1. Ask him directly to quiet it down a bit.
2. Talk to his parents.
3. Call the cops.


That's what I would do. I have a sub in my truck and always turn it down when I'm approaching my neighborhood. Simple courtesy that he should learn and you could politely tell him that to learn him up.
