They gonna let boys in the girl scouts?
Yes, but some people just really don't handle change very wellTrident 88 said:
So, they're going to offer the same activities to girls that are offered to boys.
Much ado about nothing. At least, as far as anyone who wants to protest this should be concerned.

Select Sports have pretty much taken the place of Boy Scouts already at least in larger communities.

I think it's ridiculous that organizations can't offer activities for just boys without being a target of liberals. Boys in late elementary through junior high will act differently when around girls. Seems odd that you can't organize groups and activities for boys without someone being offended. Plus there are alternatives available for girls.
That said, my understanding is that in cub scouts they have dens with all boys and dens with all girls. While they both can be involved in the same packs, it does allow them to separate when in smaller groups, for campouts, etc.
Boy Scouts has long had coed Adventure Scout troops. I don't know how they handle it these days in regular troops.
this. Much easier way to separate gullible parents from more of their money in the name of selling them (and their untalented kid) on the pipe dream of a 25% scholarship to play soccer at Gudger College than it was on scouting and enjoying the outdoors.FIDO*98* said:Flashdiaz said:

At least we still don't consider a f'n hole in the ground to be a viable toilet option.
This. And it's annoying when they all set up shop in front of the exit to Lowes. At least they only do it with the main exit, they leave the one by the men's section alone.LupinusTexensis said:

The saddest part of this to me is that I find myself praying for KJI to hit LA or San Fran with a nuke so that we can leave all this silly shiite behind and get back to being a serious people. The only other path forward I can see or imagine is the continued decline of empire deeper into the decadence phase.
FIFY - especially in cub scouts, sisters are almost always present and participating anyway.Trident 88 said:

In a letter to the Boy Scouts in August, Girl Scouts President Kathy Hopinkah Hannan said the Boy Scouts would be better served by reaching out to "those who BSA has historically underserved and underrepresented, such as African American and Latino boys."
"For more than 100 years, our organizations have worked in a respectful and complementary manner, and we have been mutually supportive of one another's mission to serve America's youth," Ms. Hannan wrote. "It is therefore unsettling that BSA would seek to upend a paradigm that has served both boys and girls so well through the years by moving forward with a plan that would result in fundamentally undercutting Girl Scouts of the USA."
Progressive groups, meanwhile, praised the decision as another step in the right direction.
"This is a slippery slope. And where does it stop?" Mr. Perkins said on Fox News Radio's "The Todd Starnes Show." "I mean, it doesn't stop until the Boy Scouts is a mere shadow of what it once was. And that's where the left is headed with everything. That's what they want to do with the culture, that's what they want to do with the republic. They simply want the symbolism without the substance. And that's where we're headed."
Enrollment in the Boy Scouts of America has been down dramatically from its peak of 6.5 million members in 1972. In 2016, registration was at 2.3 million youth members, down from 2.8 million in 2012.
Mr. Starnes said opening enrollment to girls is just another sign that it's "over for the Boy Scouts."
"Stick a fork in 'em, folks," Mr. Starnes said Wednesday on his radio show. "They're done. Just go ahead and pour water on the campfire. It's over for the Boy Scouts of America. And it's a sad situation, too. But this is what happens when you a
