Howdy Ag's, wanted to see if anyone on here has any experience on rebuilding or revamping any newer Miller welding machines. Just purchased a pipe pro with the wireless remote and suit case. My dad is a retired Exxon pipeliner and also a die hard Lincoln man. He's not taking the Miller in his shop too well. Thoughts and opinions on these?

You'd probably have more luck on the outdoor board or auto board.

Sorry, been busy with work all day. Can't speak to the pipe pro version, but I put 30 of the 304cc/cv's in my shop before I left teaching and had issues with the mother boards frying or overheating when ran on 3phase, when they shouldn't have. The district bought enough of them that Miller sent out a tech to swap out the mother boards on the buggy machines. Machines ran great when you could get them to turn on. I bought them on advice from the local CC who had ran them for two years without issue. So my advice would be to get it to an authorized Miller repair shop if it's that new. That machine's more advanced than replacing the guts in a cracker box.

Take it to Fred Stevens in North Zulch. He's the best around at repairing welding machines
