Treating myself to a nice purse once my bonus comes in..... Need ideas on brands, etc!

Looking for something in the $300-500 range. I prefer ones that have a sturdier build vs ones that slouch.

Love Tory Burch. But I like the slouchy style. But check out their York Buckle tote. I have one and love it.

Good for you! Treat yo' self! Anyone who says spending a few hundred dollars on a purse is wasteful doesn't understand the value of a good bag. This is something you will use for a long time and is an investment.

That being said, I'm a Coach gal. I've found the quality to be outstanding and they have a wide variety of styles and materials.

My next bag is going to be a Mulberry Bayswater. They're very high quality and have that structured style.

Also I just bought a Burberry bag on Poshmark and paid far less than retail. So if you're not dead-set on new, you might try that. They authenticated it for me for free, and it came with the dust bag, original box, etc. No one would ever know I didn't buy it brand new.

Look at Kate Spade. She usually has some good structured bags in some nice colors.

Riiiight....because everything you own or want is only the basics right? I would tend to agree if she is spending this money while neglecting bills and living on food stamps but it's extra spending money that she wants a nice basic that will look good on her outfits. Just because it's not something you don't want does not mean it's waste. My s.o. has more guns than I have fingers (all different hunting guns) and has spent more on his golf habit than I have ever spent on purses (I own a chanel a Louis Vuitton a Prada and a couple of coach purses along with a coach diaper bag). I don't call it a waste because we have the money to spend after basic bills and 4 retirement plans between us. Spend your extra money on stuff you enjoy. We just bought a home for 1/3 of what we could afford and he has a truck that's 10 years old and runs and looks fine. We spend our extra money on travel and our hobbies.

Can't go wrong with Louis Viitton. About ten years ago I bought the rib a monogram canvas shoulder bag. She still uses it.

So I am not sure where you live, but I know a high end resale/pawn shop in Houston. They have a high end handbags for sale for cheaper than retail price, but still within your price range. So if you find a bag out of your range this could be an option.

Personally I like Coach, Kate Spade, and Fossil but I am not super fancy.

One of my friend's would love the bag. She also got married at RenFest and took her honeymoon to Disney World so she is a bit eccentric.
