Howdy!
I am a student at Texas A&M University and currently serving as Sponsorship Coordinator for The Big Event, the largest student-run service project in the nation.
The mission of The Big Event is simple: to create a day in which students can express their gratitude to our surrounding community. On March 28, 2015, over 21,000 Aggie students woke up early to serve over 2,400 residents of the Bryan/College Station area. While we are incredibly proud of 2015, we could not be more excited to make the 34th Annual Big Event on April 2, 2016 an even greater success! To get a better idea of what we do, please take a look at our promo video here.
As a student-run organization, we are responsible for raising the funds necessary to promote and execute this day of service. Between tool purchases, participant t-shirts, and liability insurance, we operate on an annual budget of approximately $150,000, 90% of which we have to raise after receiving student fees and university grants. The majority of the remaining funds are raised through corporate sponsorships.
The Big Event needs your help. I am asking if you, or perhaps your employer, are interested in partnering with The Big Event this year, to please let me know. The Big Event is something that makes Texas A&M unique and is the perfect example of why Texas A&M is the greatest university on earth. We offer different levels of sponsorship depending on donation amount. I can be reached at trentarm6@gmail.com for any inquires and questions you may have.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you!
