A great reminder that whenever you are on a small boat that is underway, everyone on board should be wearing an approved personal flotation device. When I had a 21ft sailboat, it didn't move unless everyone was properly outfitted, even in the calmest of waters.

I've crossed the gulf once or twice on a sailboat and never had an "approved personal flotation device" on. Granted, the sailboat I was on was more than twice the size of yours. Hell, the guy's dinghy was a 24' Sea Ray that he cruised around in when he didn't feel like taking the sailboat out.
