The idiot "coach" (in name only) is telling the girls not to wear bows. They are 7 & 8 yr old girls on which bows are cute. I guess we'll see if she wants to die on that hill tonight.

Sounds like they made the right pick if they were looking for a coach. If they ever need a fashion coordinator you're their man though.

Oh goodness me.

Make your child quit and find a team where she can wear bows. That is obviously more important than learning to play for a coach and be part of team.

Can personally confirm. I wouldn't be caught dead in a bow. It is softball, not a freaking craft show.

The girls on our team wear a multitude of different bows. Softball is the only sport (I know of) that allows hair bows. Most wear them but some don't. I think it's great. They can be a contributing member of the team and still retain some individualism. Besides, it's little kids and they are supposed to be having fun FIRST.

Damn. I actually watched a couple minutes of a college softball game today. FSU had a bunch of blond hotties without bows. Team showers must be epic.

But what's the purpose of the code? Signaling to mom and dad that softball hasn't turned em dike yet?

Coach Evans doesn't allow A&M players to wear bows.

Bows are annoying, especially when the game has to be stopped because of a pitcher's bow malfunction.
