I'm sorry Lar.

I was reading a lovely book on dogs yesterday and it had a chapter on euthanasia. The author noted that there really is no one "right time", a single moment in existence where they go from happy and vibrant to suffering. So, he says, always choose "too early". If you think they are suffering but you are worried that it is too early, that's ok. Because "too late" is the only other option and that means they are suffering unnecessarily.
I keep thinking we could bandage her up, do some more injections, but I'm glad I read that because in the end I know that even if it is "too early" that doesn't mean it is wrong. She deserves comfort and losing her is simply the heartbreaking consequence I have to deal with to give that to her.
tl;dr -Lar overthinks everything
