Newlyweds Jaylon (class of '10) and Caitlin were struck by a careless driver, sustained life threatening injuries. Caitlin finds out she is pregnant then has part of leg amputated. Both have months of recovery ahead.

When you read about things like this, it is sometimes too easy to look past the challenges of living with a traumatic injury and the courage it takes to do so. Losing a limb is much more than learning to strap on a prosthetic leg. Jeff Bauman's book "Stronger" was a real eye opener for me. People who have the guts to get past this kind of life altering event, not just physically but emotionally, are a special breed. It appears that this young couple is taking the challenges head on.

That was hard to read.

This couple has the worst luck. So much tragedy in their lives. T & P.
