CM ain't so bad though. Better than Whole Foods

I only buy a few items at Central Market on a regular basis (some produce, meat, butter tortillas, and/or a growler refill).

The rest I spread out between Costco, Target, Kroger, or Tom Thumb. I spread the love.

I always see poors coming out of that Central Market. Then I get judgy and wonder where they get extra cash to shop there.

Not for Mexican food

Trader Joe's did have cheap house beer when I went. They had bombers of some belgian styles and they were like $3-$5.

But otherwise, they don't carry normal brands.. all TJ brand stuff. That's their model I suppose. So if you like lucky charms, you won't find it there.
On the flip side, if you come to like their house brand stuff, you then HAVE to get it there.

maybe that's what the OP meant by no variety.

There is a guy here at work who brings in food from Trader Joes every day. Always some organic burrito, fruits or some other random something. I can't say I'm surprised though....he always wears skinny pants. I'm not sure where you go to find pink slacks and shirts that have a top button somewhere about where you would find the 2nd or 3rd button down but I guess he shops there too. A little surprising...he does have a wife.

I remember high school when we were all fit into a little box of social definition based on how we dressed and our friends dressed.

Seems like now we're doing that based on what phone I use, what grocery store I like, etc. Isn't is sort of crazy to use company brands to identify someone?

TJ's is good for some stuff and it's easy to get in & out of. Just like your mom. HEB is large but tons of variety. Just like your mom. No, not you, the other one. Yeah, his mom.

Love that commercial. I've never had it in patty form like that, seems weird. I keep a container of it around with my rice, lentils, beans, etc. and will use it in place of rice a lot, or mixed with vegetables as a side dish
