I went to my cousins ring dunk over the weekend, and after the dunk the cops showed up and proceeded to bust the party.

There were several sets of parents who were shocked at this sight but they had to leave.

Everyone was pissed.

Anybody have any stories like this

AgDrumma tried to get his roommates evicted by calling the cops when they were loud. I don't know if it worked.

Sure, I've got some stories that lack in detail and have no point at all. Why would I share them here?

I am pretty sure the cops showed up at every party I was ever at for four straight years.

Sometimes they even showed up two or three times.

Was the party loud? Possibly outside? Why are you shocked the cops showed up?

And sometimes they showed up undercover because your dumbass roommate handed the cop a party flyer while working at EZMart.

Only one worth talking about was when I was a freshman and living in a dorm.

We had a pretty good party going and the booze was plentiful. We hear the cops are coming so we turn out the light and get real quiet.

Knocks on the wrong door and this dip**** who hung out with us and bought our liquor decides then was the best time to ask if anyone wanted a jagerbomb in the hallway. Cop looks over and says "I want one!", he shuts and locks the door real fast and we scatter out the back window.

Said dip**** now goes to OU.

Cop comes by at 4pm and says we are too loud and turn down the music. None of us lived in the apartment we were at and the renter was out picking up other friends. Lady cop made us stand in hallway and wait. We were allowed to keep drinking, all under 21.

Cop busted us early in the evening, disturbing the peace ticket (~$125)for loud music. No MIP tickets. Cop came back a couple hours later and dropped a couple girls off at the party. he found them wandering the complex trying to find their friends place. He brought them to us.

Cop busts party with 300+ people. Says half the people must leave. Party continues with 150 a shot block, multiple kegs, and people passed out in bushes.

Cops were a lot cooler back then.

I went to house parties in Bryan. Cops would occasionally show up, tell us to turn the music down a bit and make sure nobody was planning on driving, then leave.

We had some left over JITB tacos once and one BPD officer ate a couple while talking with us.

Winter break of my fish year (2008) my high school buddy had a bday party at an apartment. Only it wasn't his, or anyone's. He worked security for his dads company at the complex, and we used a vacant one for the party. About 12 of us or so were there, I had my good friend and two girls we got to sneak out to go to the party in my car. We thought we were all so badass.

Word got around to the wrong people, and one of them followed me from my neighborhood to the apartment. This straight up dbag that didn't get invited and was pissed. He was a low life creep that none of the girls felt comfortable around. We had a legitimate reason not to invite him and his buddies of that ilk.

He followed me all the way to the apartment, but I didn't realize it was him until we got there. We didnt think any thing of it. Party on. About half, including me were 18, the other half 17-16. We had alcohol, tobacco and maybe another substance. We were good, because if the cops were called they had to call birthday boy to get in the gate. Unless someone left the gate open.

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

It sounded like a wrench was hitting the door. We panicked. We all ran to the closet and tried to hide everything as best we could. Eventually someone opened the door, after about 20 minutes of knocking. They round us all up, put us in cuffs, and began trying to cross question.

One of the guys fessed up to the to tobacco, though they made sure it was someone under 18. They got birthday boy with criminal trespassing and breaking and entering and 2 counts of corruption of minors or something like that. I ended up taking responsibility for paraphernalia and a substance, but a very nice and reasonable officer let me flush it down the toilet after he lectured me in the other room in handcuffs, and I only got the paraphernalia charge. I also had to call the parents of the girls that rode in my car to the party and explain where their daughters were.

To this day im thankful to that officer for the understanding and leniency he showed me that night. In Williamson County no less

Had a party my senior year (fall 05). Many kegs, 2 shot blocks. 300-400 people. We alerted the neighbors, invited them all, and they were all cool with the set-up. Cops showed up at ~ 12:00. Roommate was enlisted marine and flashed his military id. Cops asked us to ask people to leave and went about their way. Also issued us a warning for noise violation made out to the wrong names and wrong address.

So what's the verdict on shot blocks? Cool or lame? I wanted to make one for our tailgate this past year but the guys I set up with said it didnt seem that fun. What other drinking inventions are good for tailgates? The coolest thing I had last year was the kegcooler...2 3 gal corny kegs we put mixed drinks in with a CO2 system. 3 gal of ritas and 3 gal of mimosas is a good way to start the day.

First week of college we were at a party at an apartment. It was on the 3rd floor and the place had a balcony. Cops came and eventually they made their way into the party. Sat everyone down and some kid noticed that one of his friends wasn't there.
Thought nothing about it until the cops made us pour out all the alcohol over the balcony when suddenly a voice came out of no where screamed "DUDE STOP POURING BEER ON ME"

Turns out the kid was on probation so didn't want to get caught even though the cops were not there to get anyone in trouble. Anyway he decided it was a good idea to literally hang from the balcony and tried to wait it out until the cops left. Obviously he was arrested and ended up getting himself into a lot more trouble just by trying to evade the cops.

My son's ring dunk party in 2011. Neighbors complained to CSPD about the band in the backyard. No warning to reduce volume...cops just shut it down.

University Commons arocomplaint we can blamed a noise complaint on playing video games at 2 am. We had about 8 ppll hiding in bathroom (was a little get together during finals week). Thankfully he only gave us a warning and made us pour out what we had in the fridge ( not the frezer) since we were under 21...

2009 ring dunk at Gateway Villas off of University. My dad answered door to a noise complaint (we were only loud for like 15 min during outdoor gathering for dunk ), we got a $400 noise complaint. He still doesn't understand why but I told him it's CS as usual. Sucks because it ruined a promising party. We just ended up going to NG and getting trashed

CSPD, some of the most corrupt and crooked people on earth. Including people in Chicago and LA. Those people are scum bags that have nothing better to do than lie to generate revenue while real crime continues to happen in the BCS. I have witnessed many incidents of them abusing power and on several occasion willingly lie under oath to get their way. There a few good officers but the majority are terrible people. End of rant. Had a few parties busted, one cop was real cool and told us to tone it down then came in to watch a few plays of the game.

Interesting article about the differences that have been pointed out here in the party scene.

My senior year in 2007, I was at a party happening in the shared driveway between some townhouses in College Station. These two guys showed up wearing identical black jackets. If you looked up cop in the dictionary these two would be there. Shaved heads on the sides, mustaches and both were 40 years old at least. They hung out by a fire pit trying to blend in for about 20 minutes. Had I been under 21 I would have left.

After some time had passed, both pulled off a strip from their jacket to reveal that they are TABC. Big shocker. They then lined up everyone at the party and checked ID. Those of us over 21 were allowed to return to the keg. Everyone under 21 and the guy living there got tickets. One chick from England tried to run away and jump the fence, and was crying because she said her visa would be revoked. They ended up handcuffing her. Definitely the most unusual cop-party story from my college days.
