Had Tim Horton's multiple times while on business in Toronto last month...decent coffee, terrible donuts. I don't get the Canucks' obsession with that place.

Shipley's wins for their kolaches alone

Dunkin's donuts are horrible. Always have been. They are more well known for their coffee. Their breakfast sandwiches and bakery sandwiches are pretty good, too. I used to love Shipley's donuts when I was at A&M. Even stale Shipleys donuts are better than Dunkin'.

Donuts fresh off the fryer are the best, no matter where you get them. There is a bakery on Martha's Vineyard that sells fresh donuts from the back door of the kitchen starting at 10:00 at night.



The name, however, conjures up some unfortunate imagery:

Dunkin's "Old Fashioned" style donuts with a large coffee makes me a happy man in the morning.

You mean their hot dogs? Their jalapeno kolache consist on a nastyarse frank, two slices of peno and a craparse slice of cheese. Done properly is a freshly processed spicey sausage link with cheese.

In their Austin area locations, Shipley's uses Earl Campbell's hot links. They're pretty good.

Living in Tennessee was rough dealing with krystals, steak and shake and Krispy Kreme on every corner. People from that state are beyond stupid.

Shipley's is delicious. Voodoo Donuts is better.
