Who are you rooting for? I like Netherlands and Germany. Spain is always fun to watch, but I'd like to see one those two teams beat them.

I'll ask it again, but how is it Americans find European National/Premier League/whatever teams to root for? What in the phauck allegiance do you tools have to a country/team that's over 5,000 miles away? Idiots.

Many of us are descended from these countries, but I am mostly French and Welsh, so obviously I can't pick one of those teams because France is gay and Wales isn't in the tourney. Therefore, I chose based on which teams have players that I like and countries that I like.

Well my mom is from Glasgow and I spent a lot of summers there growing up. I typically root for Celtic F.C.

Aside from that I like Barnsley even though they are pretty bad. I've just been to so many of their games.

As far as international play goes, I cheer for Scotland when they make(they rarely do) and England for the rest of the time.

I like the idea of the SPL (though the play kind of sucks), but I didn't want to root for Rangers or Celtic, so I became a Hearts supporter.

In the EPL, I follow my non-A&M college football rooting interests, i.e., whatever causes the most chaos in the league.

In Euro play, I'm for Scotland (have a good amount of Scottish ancestry), but since they're rarely relevant, I default to preferring northern European teams to southern European teams, since the southern Euros seem (to me) to have a higher number of divers.

I root for the 2004 champs...Greece(the pirates) because my parents are from there.

Do you actually watch soccer? I root for the US National team but I could care less about the MLS. The leagues in Europe are more exciting to watch so I watch them when I can. I like the Netherlands because of their style of play and hope they win EURO, but I wouldn't root for them against the US if they played.

Considering we're not forcing you to watch, why the ***** do you care?

I was there in 2004 when they won. It was BANANAS.

I want Germany to win. I just love how fast they play and how dominant they can be on the counter. The draw was not kind to either Germany or Holland. The only two teams I'm rooting for. Denmark is an interesting under the radar team also, especially if they make it out of the group of death. Gotta love soccer. It's the beautiful game.

I never cared about soccer until I spent the first week of World Cup 2006 in Amsterdam. I'll be a Dutch soccer fan, second to the USA of course, for the rest of my days.

One of the few perks about working for an international company is that we have a lot of european people in my office. We've got an office bracket challenge for the tourney and there's people from almost half the teams in the tourney. The smack talk is pretty awesome. Europeans definitely take it farther than we do in that regard.
