It depends on the time of year. If you get it resized right after ring day (when everyone else gets their rings and reallizes they are too big/too small) it will take longer. If you send it off during the summer, spring break, or winter break it usually takes like 2 weeks.

My friend recently had hers resized at it was done in a couple weeks.

I got mine re-sized in the middle of summer and it was ready in about 10 days.

Roomate just had his done. Took two weeks. I dropped mine off two and a half weeks ago and still nothing. I have a friend in the ring office and she explained to me that it depends on how backed up they are at the time. Ex. Ring day coming up March 29, etc.

Summer is probably better vs. having it resized now.

Keep in mind that in warm temperatures, your fingers tend to swell a little. In the winter, they shrink a little. So, if you go during the summer to be re-sized, keep that in mind. If you go during winter (if/when it's actually cold), your ring might fit that day but not fit by the time summer rolls around simply due to your body's recation to the ambient temperature.
