Not only are they skimping on the amount of food given on a burrito, but the quality of the food sucks!

I just got back from picking one up and the rice is SO hard. I threw the entire thing away because it's pointless to shovel it out since the only things I got on it was rice, cheese, and refried beans.

I called the store and told them the rice was really hard and I wasn't able to eat it and they said "Okay."

Not only that, the rare times I get chicken, it's burned so it ruins the entire taste of the bird. BURNED!!

I just looked at my Freebird's frequent buyer card and it shows that the last time I ate their was Jan. 19 - if I recall - my bird was pretty shatty then. Before then I ate their Jan. 12 and on Jan. 6 - I'd say that my visits are coming less frequent. Damn them - Quality over quantity @$$ holes!

I received some *****y, hard, unedible rice @ Los Nortenos Saturday night. Perhaps there is a city-wide rice problem that needs to be addressed.

It's not that hard to cook the rice a little friggen longer.

They had opened 8 minutes earlier. Jerks. I think I'm going to start a petition.

they just opened a Chipotle across the street. i think maybe i'll try them today. i know it's not going to be the same, but it might do.

Has anyone noticed that they almost always make smaller burritos for smaller girls, versus the larger burritos they make for guys? Every time I go to Freebirds I end up with a burrito not much larger than what you would order at Taco Bell, while all the guys I'm with end up with burritos twice the size of mine.

I actually complained about it this past time and they're giving me a free burrito, but it still sucks that it always happens this way. Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't eat a regular size burrito.... and even if I couldn't, I'm paying the same price as any guy so I deserve the same amount of food!

...that's what happened to us the last time we went. None of the girls cared though, since they couldn't finish it anyways. Plus, it was their first burrito, so they really didn't know the difference. We all enjoyed the food very much.

i agree. its been pretty crappy lately. the almost-full scoop of meat leads me to think wings more and more. 6 bones for a half-a$$ed burrito is not where its at

When they ask you "Does this look okay?" and it really sucks, I want to ask them, "I don't know, does that look like it's worth $5 to you?"

I mean, seriously... when you've got a thin line of food going across a huge tortilla... MAYBE YOU COULD PUT A SMIDGE MORE ON!

i would still GLADLY accept one that was mailed to me.

regular on wheat or spinach, rice and cheese, whole beans, steak, a little lime juice, sour cream and bbq sauce on the side.

Fine chef. I'll go there for YOUR sake. I'm not sure how jazzed I'd be about eating something two days after it was made, but whatever.

I'll let you know when to expect it.

Ate at Chipotle yesterday...it was ok...their hot sauce is pretty hot.

20 minutes later the wife puked it all up...maybe it was the black beans...I got pinto.

AggieChef: I delivered a burrito to ColoradoAg in Fort Collins, CO. It was frozen solid, so she had to thaw it out in the oven... but she said it was very good.

I'm going to be in Phoenix for a couple days this spring. If I have room, I'll bring you one.

i should've never clicked on this thread! now i have to go to freebird's. even if they are doing a crappy job lately, i have no choice in the matter. i must go... now.

you guys do know that you can ask for more of everything on the burrito except for the meat, free of charge? If I had a problem with my burrito then I would tell them. They have always been responsive. No way am I going to tell them that something looks okay when it doesn't.

I DO ask for more. There idea of more is a pinch, and I mean a PINCH of cheese.

I'm not afraid to ask for more! I've even been told "we're going to have to charge you extra for more of that." Fine. If that gives me a fatter/fuller burrito, LAY ON THE EXTRA TWENTY-FIVE CENTS WORTH.

Chipotle sucks! I can't wait for the bird to open in Dallas. Put one in Funky-town and I will be even happier.
