As a lady aggie's dad, I need to know if anyone has heard of any bad experiences (safety, quality, etc.)at the Wave's Z Islander apartments in Bryan? I have seen a couple of negative posts on an apartment rating site, and was wondering if they were true or just sour grapes?

You're going to get rule 1'd. But no, I haven't heard of anything.
If you look hard enough... You'll find some negative reviews for every set of apartments
Pretty much all of the "luxury" college apartment complexes are cheaply built with thin walls and stuff that breaks all the time. Z has a lot of traffic due to the big pool but not sure about safety. Noise is likely an issue depending on where the specific apartment is.

Well, they did have an airplane make a crash landing in their parking lot.
Thanks to all who have responded so far. I figured that most negative ratings would be those that were upset/mad. It's kinda like hotel ratings, but aggie mom and I are a little more nervous about an 18 month stay at an apartment versus a 2 or 3 day stay at a hotel. We visited the apartments in question and looked around ourselves (without mgmt),and didn't see a lot of what was described in the negative reviews.
I would never let my daughter live there, that place is like an episode of the jersey shore every weekend, plus it's ugly
There are more drugs bought/sold in that apartment complex than anywhere else in Bryan, according to a BPD officer I spoke to.
I wouldn't want my daughter to live at any.of those places on welborn. All waaaay to close to bryan

If I had not bought a house when I came to town, I would have lived there. Very nice place.

I have a friend who is BPD and she said they have massive busts there. two years ago a group of us was having pool parties there and she couldn't come because she was there so much she didn't want to be recognized.
as for a safe apartment, I'm possibly looking for a roommate.

Thanks for the offers, it is very nice of you all, but she is wanting to try it on her own.....for a while anyway. We will see how it goes.
If she is an undergrad, how on earth can she afford to live there by herself????
Bc she is a millennial who is being spoiled by her lolbabyboomer parents.
I don't know, I think living in an apartment complex in fear of getting hit by an airplane is the way to live life.

If she is wanting to try it on her own there are tons of other places to go.
Personally I say send her to the dorms. It definitely builds character.
If she is dead set at living off campus I definitely recommend a duplex or house instead of an apartment. Around the same price and you get way more space.

I stand by my statement. The French name speaks of class out the bunghole. Plus, it's both Walmart and Church's Chicken adjacent.
Depending on whether or not your daughter was a high school cheerleader or sloot you may or may not want her to be living here.
I'd say: if she was a cheerleader or if you disapproved of every boyfriend she's ever had, she'll fit in at Wave Z Islander. If you're looking to protect her innocence, I recommend elsewhere.
Also, Wave Z Islander is notorious for being on approach to Easterwood in a bad way.
