I used to lean towards biblebeaters but having met even more atheists has made me lean towards them in a grand way

I agree, that and it seems like a lot of the time anyone who believes in a higher power is automatically an idiot in atheists eyes.

Within one breath some atheist will talk about tolerance then bash someone for believing in God.

None of the atheists I know IRL are all that preachy, just the semi aspie internet nerd atheists. BBs on the other hand are pretty annoying.

This. I've also never been drunkenly stumbling around Northgate or Bourbon Street and had an atheist yell at me that the things I do/don't do in this world have no effect on what happens when I die because there is no afterlife.

I'm sure I've met an atheist, but have never met anyone who identified themselves to me as such. Agnostics, yes.

But I'm going to put Jehovah's Witnesses ahead of the Bible beaters. When I was unsaved, the JW's I knew didn't care. When I got saved and joined a Baptist church, they wanted to come rescue me. I could have (very stupidly) ruined my life as I almost punched one out in a very public place. Thankfully a buddy grabbed my arm before I got myself sent to prison.

Bible Beaters, because if they read the bible they would realize they are preaching exactly how Jesus told them not too. At least the Atheist isn't contradicting himself.

And since I'm christian, it reflects poorly on me.

well, i threw my bible in the trash long ago and it seemed to have really empowered me. you should try it

PS: I think Jesus was a good man, but modern Christians and evangelists make him look so bad.

The thread title should be: bible beaters or "obnoxious easily offended freak out about everything religion related" atheists. Normal atheists aren't that annoying.
