It's the wurst
You drink $9 pitchers of bock and eat a lot of brats. The person with the most pitchers wins. I collected 5 last year with no help.

Its a ton of fun. Eat a lot of food, drink a lot of beer and dance. I am from New Braunfels and haven't missed a year since I can remember.

Pay for parking, pay admission, pitchers are $18 not $9, and plan on $20 worth of food.

Fried everything + Lots of Beer = WIN!
In typical German fashion, they are trying their damnedest to make it so inconvenient/expensive/unwelcoming that fewer and fewer people come to mess up their regular schedule.
I guess thats why last year had the most people ever

this years Oktoberfest had a record 6,000,000 attend. It was epic.

I also like complaining about the cost of parking, beer and food especially when most of the money is paid to non-profit organizations. Lions Clubs, Rotary Clubs, Church's, etc.
yes it sucks horrible. pls do not come. I prefer it when the lines are shorter.
We hung out for 2 hours and drank and ate fried food. That was alright, beer was expensive. Went back to the hotel, bought beer from CVS, and had a friggin awesome time drinking our cheap beer. I'd say skip the middle man and just go with the hotel and cheap beer.
