driving a land cruiser, wearing a rolex on both hands, living in a 50,000 sq. foot house, and having $800,000 in your 401(k) at the age of 27 is much better IMO.

I would argue that the hotness of your girl on the side is more important. A wife is for raising the kids, cooking, etc.

i would say having a wife that gets back to pre pregnancy size after both kids is a good status symbol (size 4).

Someone could do the math, but there is a maximum contribution allowable into your 410(k) that would make this impossible at any known rate of return unless you roll over funds from an IRA... which also has a contribution limit... which would mean that you aren't getting any tax benefit from money you can't touch until 62.5.

Stupid credit card millionaires.

You would likely be discrimination tested out of 401k contributions anyhow at that income level.

Bragging about your 401k balance is a sure-fire way to identify yourself as part of the great middle class of this country. Nothing to be ashamed of, to be sure, but king of the middle-dwellers at best.
