How long do you want to ignore this user?
A few weeks ago I was on the beltway with two screaming kids and an overstressed wife. My lack of focuse caused me to accidently run thru the easy tag lane without a tag. Will they just mail me a bill/fine? Anybody done this before?

They should mail you a fee for the toll; some states add fines (~40 possible).

Texas does not assess addl fines unless things have changed?

thx. hoping its just the 1.50 plus a small fine. 40 bucks would suck

Call them now and ask them. They might go easy on you for being willing to take the administrative issues out of it

What happens if I run through the EZ TAG lane by accident and don't have an EZ TAG but want to pay for the toll?

If you call or visit one of our EZ TAG store locations a customer service representative may assist you with this payment.

We appreciate your follow-up on the run through. To clear up the unpaid toll, you can come in to any one of our EZ TAG store locations with your license plate number or call customer service at (281) 875-EASY (3279). The customer service representative will pull up the photo of your car and be able to accept that payment to clear it up. We suggesting waiting at least 2-3 days before calling as it may take that long for the violation to load into the system.

They won't send you a bill until you get 3-4 violations.

How I know you need 3-4 violations before you get a notice, it's not really related to your problem at all, just ranting.
I have an EZ tag and didn't think to change my license plate numbers with them when I got new plates last year. Even if you have an EZ tag it doesn't always read it and they have to manually type in the plate number on the picture and will charge your EZ tag if it is linked by plate number. Apparently this happened once last July, then twice again in December. They wait until after the 3rd violation in December to send me a notice, almost $50 for the 3 violations. If the *******s had sent me a notice 6 months before after the first violation I would have known to change my plate number then. I *****ed but they wouldn't drop any of it. They said they had to cover the costs for looking up my plate number. Apparently it's 15x more expensive to do that than if I had my EZ tag linked. Also by that logic it takes someone earning minimum wage 2 hours to type a 6 digit license plate number into a computer.

You have to get 3 violations then they bill you. It's 21.50. 1.50 for the toll and 20.00 for the service fee.
