I asked her about it and said it was just a facebook thing and that it was done. Live in seperate states and that she is thankful that I found out and told her because it could have turned dangerous. Her and dad are having marriage issues. I told her I don't know what to think and that had it been my gf she would have hit the road.

Seriously though, sorry to hear that. I would venture a guess that a lot of people, old and young, pine for an old high school or college flame when their married life is rocky.

They've likely romanticized the prior relationship into something ideal, and possibly pristine.

This sounds normal.
