they had been rotting out there for days and the smell was unberable and fly and maggots were swarming everywhere..I could not get close enough to throw them out with vomiting so I figured pouring a bunch of bleach on them would kill the smell then I could throw them out a couple of hours later

My uncle made bait out of something similar. Mixed a bucket of beer, cheese, dog food, and I think chicken liver together and left it outside for several days in the summer. The fish went nuts on it, but you could barely keep from throwing up.

stanley we did that too. we had leftover crawfish shells in a trashcan for two weeks. then we dumped them in a field behind our house and in a neighbors can. the smell was AWFUL!
