The story of the Animal Industries Building is that a professor cut his arm or his leg (I can't remember which) and bled to death on the elevator, so now the elevator goes up and down by itself in the evenings, and the janitors won't go in there after dark.

My former roommate and some dormmates snuck into the old ANimal Industries building and stayed there very late one night. They brought a video camera and taped the elevator. At one point during the night it (the elevator) was actually not visible due to a bright aura that was only fixed on the elevator. It only lasted a few moments, but it was rather strange. THey wanted to go back with an EMF meter but they were never able to make it back. Little strange if you ask me.

I think the Reed McDonald basement is haunted. It certainly smelled haunted.

I assume someone died taking a crap on one of the two toilets on the third floor of Law Hall Ramp 6, both of them were possessed.

On occasion, I can hear the voices of the frat guys we buried out past the pig farm.

I planned on sneaking into the Animal Sciences bldg on a Halloween night but then I got too drunk at a party and forgot about it.

I had a lab in the basement of the AI Building one semester. It was kind of creepy, probably just because of the stories I heard. The trek from the classroom to the bathroom led down a couple of hallways and past "the elevator." It was a good thing I was near the john because I soiled my pants. Later, people in my class claimed they smelled a rotting corpse. Low and behold, it was the stench from my accident.

Didn't they find the skeleton of the 1967 Texas A&M Hide and Seek Champion in the attic of the Academic building?

There is a ramp on the west side of Walton (facing McInnis) that people say may be haunted. Around 15 years ago a drunk student fell out of one of the windows and died and since then people have reported lights being turned on and off when no one is there and noises coming from rooms where no one is living. This is also the same part of the building where a student hung themself about 5 or 6 years ago.

It was in the bathroom between K-8 and K-9 that the guy hung himself

Once I had to take a piss in the AI building. There was a weird aura in the building, but I realized that someone was just taking a nasty dump.

The ghost of Pinky Downs walked the wood of Kyle Field late at night.

Once I was pulling an all-nighter in the AI building (actually the lab-annex), freshening up my vascular plant ID skeels. My buddy and I heard this strange sounding symphony music emanating from the basement floor. We SLOWLY creeped our way down there and found this goofy-looking grad student staring at a computer screen. The horror!

I had a Lit seminar in the big clasroom in the AI bldg. There were some suspicious looking splatters on the ceiling. Keep in mind that this is a very high ceiling.

BTW...I seem to remember a post about a plantation-era graveyard in Hensel park...or near there. Anyone remember what/hwere that is?

I always heard that the AI building was haunted because all the animals slaugtered in the basement for research. I didn't buy it then or now. There is no where I have been on the A&M campus where I have ever got that "wierd" feeling like something isn't right or it is supernatural. I assumed the same thing with A&M long past and numerous disease outbreaks and wolf attacks in the early days, but I have never heard of it.
Now that cemetery down the road from tree house apartments in kinda out of place and not fun to run by at night.

The best story on greekchat was the one about cans of soda and bags of chips "mysteriously" disappearing.

Are you in the corps? There are a lot of stories of weird things in the corps and those steam tunnels. If you are in the corps, aren't you too young to be the oldman? I thought that was saved for a senior.

When I came to orientation, our group leader told us that the AI building was haunted. He said that late one night, a janitor was cleaning up and tripped over some equipment on the floor. In doing this, he fell into some of the machinery they used to kill the animals and got hacked up pretty bad. He made his way to the elevator to try and go get help, but died inside before he got to the first floor.

Personally, I always kinda try and walk a little faster if I have to pass by the really old buildings at night. I had a classroom in the basement of the old civil engineering building my freshman year, and it always totally freaked me out. Are there any stories about the chemistry building? That place is bound to have some tales.

My grandpa had told me some stories that people would hear and see strange things in the old hospital building, but now it's gone.

AggieGal - I used to work in that building (I didn't know it was gone). I never noticed anything creepy in there - but the breakroom was one of the old exam rooms so it looked funny. All of the grad students had to work in the basement where the morgue used to be.
