I tip $7 for my $18 haircut but that's because they do a really good job and I'm too lazy to deal with change when I can just give the guy a 20 and a 5.

Yeah, I don't go to her very often. She is an ex girlfriend of a friend, but she does a good job.

here in Okinawa i pay $5 for a cut with a massage, plus it's insulting if you tip. what a great country!
paying more than $12 including tip is ghey. My wife does it for free, with a special finish.... 
Ive have nothing much to add but some of you are freaking cheapskates.
I grew up going to regular old-time type barber shops. I never saw anyone tip for a haircut.
It wasn't until I moved to the big city that I ever saw anyone tip for haircuts.

My haircuts are like 12.95 so if the person cutting my hair is nice and friendly, then I usually give the 1.05 tip, but if she is *****, than she gets nothing.
